Established in early 2005, FSD Kenya supports the development of inclusive financial markets in Kenya. FSD understands financial inclusion as being about harnessing the power of markets to improve people’s lives. It operates as an independent trust under the supervision of professional trustees, KPMG Kenya, with policy guidance from a Programme Investment Committee (PIC). Current funders include the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
FSD Kenya is searching for a Research Economist to support its efforts to foster the practical application and generation of evidence and analysis to support pro-poor market development, both within FSD’s programme and as a sustainable pillar of the market system.

The candidate will also provide technical support and advisory in research design and analytics across a variety of stakeholders and projects. In line with FSD’s new strategy, the Research Economist is expected to work across a number of areas, leading or supporting all projects and colleagues in research and analytics.
