KCB M-Benki


The application enables M-Pesa subscribers to open KCB bank accounts and conduct banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and fund transfers over mobile phones without visiting a bank branch. Subscribers can open a KCB M-Benki by sending a request with their identification number through their M-Pesa account. KCB M-Benki is a way of opening a KCB account through the phone. To open an M-Benki account,simply send a request to Safaricom M-PESA menu, Payment Services, Pay Bill, enter pay bill number 522522, Business Number (Identification number) then amount to be deposited in the account then press the send button. M-Benki can be said as an integration of both M-Kesho and M-Shwari. As M-Kesho, M-Benki allows users to physically visit the bank to transact business while as M-Shwari, users can transact all businesses via mobile phones. Currently one is not able to borrow loans directly from their mobile phones as KCB is working on this product. However M-Benki account is a standard KCB account that offers up to 2% interest on savings. After operating M-Benki account for a period of three months one will qualify to apply for a loan normally.
